Manifesto Market Opens Dedicated beer concept: A Bold Toast to Czech Brewing Culture

On 31 May 2025, a new bar will open at Manifesto Market Anděl — brought to life by the team behind the beloved SOOT Bar, Manifesto Market, and the award-winning Himitsu Speakeasy in Berlin. No name, no brand — just great beer, good tastes, and buzzy times. A celebration of the best Czech brewing, from classic pours to bold new craft brews.

With up to 12 beers on tap—ranging from iconic lagers like Pilsner Urquell and Budvar 33 to rotating microbreweries such as Zichovec, Matuška, and Antoš—Manifesto continues to evolve its culinary and beverage offerings to reflect local excellence.

Czechia may be drinking less mass-produced beer overall, but we see exciting demand and preferences shifting to craft brewing” says Martin Barry, CEO and founder of Manifesto. “Beer has consistently been one of our top-selling products. It is time to give it a bigger stage—to support our long-term partners like Pilsner Urquell and Vinohradsky Pivovar, and also to highlight smaller breweries that are pushing boundaries and tastes.”

In addition to a permanent selection of beloved lagers like Únětická 12° nefiltrovaná, long time Manifesto favorite Vinohradská 11, and Mustang, the bar will introduce a bi-monthly rotation of specialty craft beers. These rotating micro brews will give guests exciting and drinkable new options to discover every time they return. The bar will also offer over 30 bottled and canned beers, handpicked from across Czechia.

It’s not just about what’s in the glass. A new menu of “beer food” from local suppliers has been curated by Alexandros Gavrilidis, the mind behind the Manifesto SOOT Bar. To add, the bar’s programming will feature monthly tap takeovers, guided tastings, and occasional food pairing pop-ups, offering education and entertainment for everyone from casual drinkers to connoisseurs.

We want to share stories through beer pouring, open peoples eyes to the variety of the local scene, and create exciting occasions around Czech beer consumption.” says Daniel Prokeš, the newly appointed Bar Manager of SOOT cocktail and beer bar at Manifesto, previously of Almanac X Alcron and Andaz Prague. “If we can surprise a few guests with something they’ve never tried or spark curiosity about local brewing—then we’ve done our job.

Designed by architect Sara Gomes, the concept brings to life a concept of “Brewed Elegance”—a space that is refined yet welcoming, where design and craftsmanship go hand-in-hand. Expect rich amber and saffron tiles, warm walnut tones, copper piping, and thoughtful lighting that evokes the colors and textures of beer itself. The layout balances form and function, with floating displays, curated signage, and a custom-made beer fridge that turns the bottled selection into a visual centerpiece.

This new addition further strengthens Manifesto’s role not just as a food hub, but as a platform for quality, sustainability, and discovery. Whether drinkers are here for their favorite lager or looking to dive into something new, this buzzy concept at Manifesto will be ready to welcome you this spring.
