Beats for Love kicks off its most ambitious season in history starting Wednesday

The Beats for Love Festival will open its gates on Wednesday, July 1, and for four days, Dolní Vítkovice will be transformed into a vast world of music, lights, emotions, and unforgettable experiences. The largest electronic music festival in Central Europe will offer its strongest lineup ever this year. From July 1 through 4, more than 550 artists will arrive in Ostrava to perform on 18 stages, including the long-awaited megastar and hitmaker Calvin Harris, who will take the stage on Wednesday.

“This year’s lineup is among the best and most expensive the festival has offered its visitors in its 12-year history. A dream come true for many fans is the aforementioned Calvin Harris, who rarely performs in Europe. In addition to him, the Love by ČSOB main stage will also feature Swedish megastar Alesso, currently the world’s most successful female DJ Charlotte de Witte, the masked dance phenomenon Marshmello, and legendary DJ Dimitri Vegas,” lists Kamil Rudolf, the festival’s director and founder.

The program will also feature a number of exclusive “Beats for Love Special” moments that fans won’t experience anywhere else. For example, the Czech premiere of the new Andromedik’s audiovisual show and a unique B2B set by British bass music icons Katy B and Miss Dynamite.

This year’s edition will also build even more heavily on the Beats for Love Universe design concept. The festival grounds will be filled with large-scale visuals, lasers, live performances, and themed zones such as Love Sphere, Space Sphere, and Industrial Sphere, all connected by an festival artery called Pulse. Visitors can look forward to, for example, Ostrava’s sci-fi Stonehenge, a post-apocalyptic village, and the symbolic light reactivation of a blast furnace. Another surprise this year will be a new adrenaline-fueled show created in collaboration with Red Bull, the details of which the organizers are keeping secret for now.

From Thursday through Saturday, the popular Talking Beats conference will also return, offering—for the fourth time—a series of discussions with DJs, producers, promoters, and other figures from the music scene. Visitors will get a behind-the-scenes look at festivals, the music industry, and the creative process itself. A highlight of this year’s opening will be a meet-and-greet with festival director Kamil Rudolf, who will answer fans’ questions while Proud beer is being tapped under the watchful eye of Plzeňský Prazdroj bartenders.

The LoveID system is a new feature of this year’s festival, designed to provide visitors with a more convenient and secure entry to the venue. The festival is also introducing the LOVECARD by ČSOB, which allows fans to take advantage of benefits such as fast-track entry at the main gate, discounts on merchandise, and other perks in a special festival zone.

Interest in this year’s festival is at a record high. 88 percent of tickets have already been sold in advance, VIP sections are nearly sold out, and the festival campsites are filling up quickly as well.
