Weber-Stephen secures space in The Flow Building

Weber-Stephen Products, LLC (Weber), the world’s leader in innovative, high-performing grilling, has signed a lease agreement for 1,200 sqm of office space in The Flow Building on Prague’s Wenceslas Square. Developed by Flow East, The Flow Building is one of Prague’s most distinctive structures, and demand for space in this example of innovative modern architecture is high. Weber’s office fit-out will start in May, and the company will move in to its new offices prior to September 2021.

Weber manufactures outdoor grills, barbecues, and accessories and has offices in over 40 countries around the world. With its emphasis on innovative product development and premium experiences, the company feels a natural affinity with The Flow Building’s state-of-the-art design and specifications.

At Weber, we are constantly discovering what’s possible and taking the grilling experience of our customers to the next level,” says Daniela Pávová, Director BSTC Prague at Weber. “It seems only fitting that our team should work in an office environment with a similar emphasis on innovation and quality. The location and design of The Flow Building amazed us – but its emphasis on promoting health and the wellbeing of users were equally important in our decision. We can’t wait to move into our new home.

The fit-out for Weber’s offices, located on the fifth floor of the building and featuring two terraces, will be managed by JLL. A design by Tétris will ensure a customised workspace considering Weber’s specific requirements.

We are thrilled to welcome Weber as another new tenant,” says Petr Červený, Leasing Manager at Flow East. “The Flow Building’s 15,000 square metres of office space are being leased extremely quickly, confirming the anticipated high demand for an innovative structure in a location so rich with history. Solutions for sustainability and user wellbeing will make The Flow Building an excellent place to work, and it is exciting to see tenants starting to personalise their spaces with their own office fit-outs. We are eager to see Weber’s fit-out taking shape over the coming months, and we look forward to welcoming its BSTC team later this year.”

The Flow Building’s instantly recognisable glass façade was designed to reflect Prague’s dynamic spirit – ever-moving and ever-shifting. The continuously-curved surface was achieved using a complex 3-dimensional modular system. While ensuring copious natural daylight within the building, the façade incorporates openable windows throughout to allow natural ventilation, benefitting the health of all users.

Other sustainable features include technology to maximise energy efficiency, with services arranged in zones to allow individual control of utilities while automatically reflecting occupancy rates in different areas. The building will promote a healthy social environment through its Flow Zone common room for all users, and through access to a rooftop terrace with stunning views of Prague. These features, together with excellent public transport connections and accessibility, make The Flow Building one of the hottest properties in the city.

Totalling 15,000 sqm of office space and 6,000 sqm of retail space, The Flow Building is the flagship development by Flow East, a developer with a 25-year history of successful investments in the Czech Republic. Flow East specialises in high-quality renovations of premium historical buildings while also building modern developments. As a long-term investor, the company continues to own and manage all its properties following development.
